What This Role Is About

At Magpie Nest, we don’t just "edit." We build visual identities. We are looking for a high-performance Executive Video Editor who thrives on creative ownership. You won’t just be following a brief; you’ll be a key voice in strategy sessions, helping our international clients turn raw visions into high-converting content.

You’ll work with the speed of a solo pro and the precision of an artist. Whether it’s the high-retention style of Alex Hormozi and Ali Abdaal, or the cinematic depth of documentary-style long-form, you are expected to master and elevate the aesthetic of every project you touch.

The Mission

• Creative Ownership: Lead projects from raw footage to final delivery with minimal hand-holding.
• High-Volume Excellence: Deliver 20–30 high-quality sample videos monthly for client pitches and portfolio growth.
• Style Adaptability: Seamlessly switch between fast-paced social reels and cinematic long-form content.
• System Building: Create reusable templates and workflows to level up the entire team’s efficiency.
• Asset Creation: Design custom digital assets (icons, vectors) in Photoshop when the project demands a bespoke touch.

What We’re Looking For

• The Pro Tools: We are not looking for CapCut editors. You must be an expert in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or DaVinci Resolve.
• The Eye: A high attention to detail with a "story-first" mindset. You know how to find the "hook" in any footage.
• Global Awareness: A solid understanding of copyright laws and platform-specific requirements for US/UK audiences (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X).
• The Maturity: You view feedback as a shortcut to excellence. You are disciplined, meet deadlines without fail, and communicate clearly.

Experience & Requirements

• Proven experience as a freelance or agency editor looking for the stability of a corporate role without the "corporate" boredom.
• Ability to maintain clean project organization and version control across multiple concurrent clients.
• Expertise in motion graphics and Photoshop is a significant plus.
